Central Police University won the first place in the full-text authorization rate of the National Central Library's 2023 Open Access Contribution Award

As the only legal depository library in Taiwan, the National Central Library bears a mission to preserve all the deposited books, including e-books, audio-visual materials, thesis, dissertations, and journals, and has long been preserving and promoting Taiwan's various academic resources. The National Central Library built databases such as NCL National Digital Library of Thesis and Dissertations, Taiwan Citation Index — Humanities and Social Sciences, and Taiwan Periodical Literature that are beneficial for researchers to carry out academic research and has become crucial and highly used research resources for scholars.

To thank the collaborating partners for their long-term dedication, the Library held an “Appreciation party” on March 31st, 2023, and announced the report on “the Capability of the academic resource in Taiwan — An overview of the academic resources and research topics in National Central Library in 2022.”  The six  categories were awarded and given certificates of appreciation during the event, including “Journal Resource Contribution”, ”Full-text Article Authorizing Unit”, ”Dissertation Disclosure Contribution”, ”Dissertation Access Contribution”,  ”Dissertation Resource Contribution”, and ”Excellent Performance in Deposit.”

The Central Police University (CPU) was ranked first in the full-text authorization rate of the Open Access Contribution Award for Dissertations of public universities.  Police Science Bimonthly was ranked fifth for Journal Resources Contribution Award, and received a Certificate of Appreciation.  CPU was dedicated to police research for crime prevention and remained socially stable for a long time.  It cultivates talents and helps lay a research foundation.  The research results of doctoral and master's thesis are highly valued and cited in relevant academic fields.  CPU has made outstanding contributions to promoting the disclosure of academic resources and enhancing the practical value of collected dissertations.
