With more than 40 years of practical experience in policing (28 years of which in crime investigations), President Yang fully exchanged views and opinions with Mr. Gonzalez and Mr. Sherota. Both parties believed that fraud, drug smuggling, human trafficking, and money laundering involved in organized crime groups have gradually developed in the direction of technology, the internet, and cross-border in recent years, and have become a threat to public security in many countries. Thus the top priority is to enhance the technological detection and prevention capabilities of law enforcement agencies and also should be applied to and rooted in police education and training to optimize the proficiency of future law enforcement officers. Moreover, strengthening the cooperation between international police and law enforcement agencies is also an important topic that cannot be delayed.

President Yang indicated during the meeting that Taiwan's public security has continued to improve stably in recent years and has ranked among the best in the world's public security evaluations. The number of criminal cases has also shown a downward trend and the detection rate has increased. As senior law enforcement officers at Homeland Secruity Investigation of America, Mr.Gonzalez and Mr. Sherota both felt that Taiwan's public security is excellent during their visit. They experienced a high sense of security when wondering and engaging in activity outdoors no matter it's in the day time or at night, in a city or a country. Mr. Gonzalez and Mr. Sherota also praise the professionalism and hard work of the Taiwan police.
