Uniting New Forces to Promote Anti-Bribery Campaign by NIA New Taipei City Service Center

       In order to promote the concept of anti-bribery among new immigrants, National Immigration Agency (NIA) New Taipei City Service Center, together with the Taiwan New Taipei District prosecutors Office and the New Immigrant Family Service Center, New Taipei City held an education and law promotion course for new immigrants on anti-bribery issues on Aug.16.

       At the beginning of the course, Chu Wenguo, an honorary guardian from Vietnam at the Taiwan New Taipei District prosecutors Office, explained the concept of anti-election bribery in Mandarin mixed with Vietnamese, hoping to share the correct concept of the rule of law to the new immigrants. He then presented relevant case studies to guide the new immigrants to distinguish the common election bribery tactics and reminded them not to fall into the trap of bribery. He also showed an anti-election bribery video during the course to build consensus among the new immigrants. On the day of the course, the seed lecturer of the first "New Indigenous Multicultural Talent Training Program" of the Immigration Department, Ms. Li Lachu Wei, shared her experience of living and adapting to Taiwan with the participants.

       The director of the NIA New Taipei City Service Center Lin Zhenzhi said, "The promotion of anti-election bribery is an important task to prevent crime and is also related to the development of democracy in the whole country. Let's fight and stop bribery. In addition, in order to enhance the public's knowledge and understanding of multiculturalism, we will continue to invite lecturers from new immigrants to assist in multiculturalism promotion, and invite more new immigrants to pay attention to our activities and participate actively.
