Number of women who can be "mothers" has dropped rapidly
Due to the implementation of Taiwan's family plan in 1960s has been successful, the fertility rate was well-controlled, and the number of babies was dropped tremendously. As a result, the number of women who can be "mothers" has also dropped rapidly. After reaching a peak of 6.367 million in 2000, the average annual reduction is 28,000 by 2018, there were only 5.863 million people left.
According to Population Projections for the Republic of China (2018-2065), the number of women of childbearing age has decreased by about 85,000 annually since 2019, and only 3.913 million are left in 2041, that is, the only number of "mothers" who may become 60% of that in 2000.
