The Ministry of the Interior (MOI) aims to enhance the efficiency of handling military service and substitute service by conducting training seminars at municipal, county (city) governments, and township (town, city, district) offices. The MOI has entrusted the Administrative Academy of Personnel Administration, Executive Yuan, to conduct these seminars, starting from March 13, 2024. The seminars will focus on conscription and substitute service selection work, with experienced conscription personnel sharing practical experiences to improve the efficiency of public administration services.
Additionally, in response to the government's "Enhancement of the National Defense Force Structure Adjustment Plan," substitute service has been incorporated into the civil defense system as one of its three major pillars. The MOI has also added a new "Civil Defense" course to the training seminars for attending personnel to strengthen self-defense capabilities.
