A Visit from Committee on Domestic and Ethnic Affairs of the Control Yuan

On November 1st 2021, the convener, Shih Jin-Fang, of the Committee on Domestic and Ethnic Affairs of the Control Yuan lead 5 committee membersto pay the annual visit to Central Police University. President Chen Che-Wen and all sector supervisors together hosted the event.

The president gave a warmest welcome to the committee members of the Control Yuan and paid the highest respect to their efforts on promoting human rights in Taiwan. The vice-president Su Chih-Chiang also briefed about the school affairs and the 4 school developmental emphases on "building a consummate National Exam system", "promoting a sound system of cadet selection", "optimizing training programs" and "bettering police structure".

In the visit, the committee members went to the facilities in Science Building, Investigative and Forensic Technology Building, multi-purpose Police Skill Gym and Shooting Scenarios Hall. By visiting the Simulation Room, Moot Court, Crime Scene Simulation and Mock Crime Scene Room, they learned more about the essence of professional training programs of police education. By watching the Judo and shooting training, they understood more about the importance of Physical Training Programs. They also visited the World Police Museum to know more history about world police.

In the Forum, the committee members asked questions about the future school development including budgeting, educational goal and curriculum planning, and due process of law in the area of police practices. In the end, the convener Shih Jin-Fang gave her recognition about the school's efforts on police education. President Chen Che-Wen showed a great appreciation of the committee's valuable advices and promised to keep on promoting a better police education for cultivating the best cadets in the field.
