Dr. CHANG, CHIH-YUAN, Assistant Research Fellow of this Institute adopted the key points from his own research of the “Comparing the Regulations of Alternative Improvement Plans for the Access-free Facilities in the Existing Public Buildings in the U. S., Japan and Taiwan” in 2020, and reorganized it into the paper titled “Study on Taiwan Building Arcade Walkway Plans: Analysis of the Ministry of the Interior and the Taipei City Government's Arcade Walkway Leveling Acts and Execution”. He then applied it to the “Award of Incentive Utilizing Data from Research Report by Taipei City Government, 2022” and was reviewed and selected as the Grade A Award. His paper provides Taipei City Government the reference for policy making and implementing, and also helps the citizens to understand the present policy of arcade walkway leveling and refer to the relevant measures to improve the access-free environment.
