The "Nationwide Seamless GIS Cadastral Maps"manufactured by National Land Surveying and Mapping Center,Ministry of the Interior （ NLSC ） was awarded the Best Service Implementation of the 15th Golden Map Award.Jeng-Lun Liu,the Director-general of NLSC represented to accept this award.
The geographic information system（GIS）technology has been introduced into the integration, management and overlay of the cadastral map data for a while. NLSC had built up the free supply mechanism of the cadastral map data to fulfill the various needs of central government organizations. However, due to the quality of raw data, there exists inconsistency between land sections and results in topology problems. In order to break through the bottle neck, from 2011, NLSC had started the joining and alignment of cadastral map data in each township. Based on those results, the Nationwide Seamless GIS Cadastral Maps was produced in 2016. Furthermore, in response to the map data application of new era, such as web services and different temporal map data, NLSC offers web map service（WMS）, web map tile service（WMTS）and application programming interface（API）to allow the organizations of central government using the GIS cadastral map data as a base map for the purposes of ecological conservation, public pipe management, nature surroundings protection, territory planning, social economy, environment quality, transportation and lands.NLSC has kept the data up to date and improved the users experiences, and was honored to be awarded the Best Service Implementation of the 15th Golden Map Award for those efforts and effectiveness.
NLSC will manage to refine the GIS cadastral map data continuously and advance the web service of cadastral map positively. Welcome to apply.
