Extensive Mobile Care Services
In the recent years, mobile services of “Home Care Services Delivered with Love” of the National Immigration Agency have been seen in every corner around Taiwan. The Care to provide project for immigrant families has been highly praised by new immigrants. At 14:00 on April 20th, the National Immigration Agency organized the event of mobile services of “Home Care Services Delivered with Love” to demonstrate care provided by the Ministry of the Interior (MOI) to new immigrants and immigrant families. Minister of MOI, Mr. Hsu Kuo-yung, especially served as the Convenor and he was accompanied by the Director-General of National Immigration Agency, Chiu Feng-kuang, and personnel from National Fire Agency and Construction and Planning Agency to YYilan.
The first stop of the mobile care services came to the “Anyo Museum” built by the TSC in the amount of NTD 1 billion and equipped with solar power generators, energy efficient lighting devices, storm water collectors on the roof and water conservation and environmentally friendly facilities; in addition to caring for the industry, new immigrants were matched with job opportunities. First, the Convenor, Minister, Mr. Hsu Kuo-yung and Robert S.Q. Lai, the Chairman of TSC attended the commencement ceremony of the “green diamond building.” Afterwards, new immigrants from China, Vietnam, and Indonesia were guided to visit this environmentally friendly building and at the same time, an announcement was made to the new immigrants from China about “the recent amendments to “the Rules Governing Permits for People in Taiwan Entering from Mainland China” approved by MOI that allows short term visits to extended Chinese spouse’s families and relatives to include those in the third-degree kinship of spouses (such as step-parents and sisters-in-law) as well as visits of the second-degree kinship of those who are legally allowed to stay in Taiwan and their spouses. The second stop of mobile services came to the braised food store, “Hu Lu Gu Li Xiang” opened by the winner of the fifth “Dream Project” of the National Immigration Agency, Ms. Wang Chun (originally from China) and new immigrants were chatting with the Minister, Mr. Hsu Kuo-yung about their life and fun experience in Taiwan. Yilan Shelter of Northern Region Brigade of National Immigration Agency and Yilan County Fire Department were also visited to listen to the opinions of frontline workers.
Minister of MOI, Mr. Hsu Kuo-yung said, “It is the responsibility for our government to take care of new immigrants and MOI will continuously care and listen to new immigrants to develop the friendly living environment for them to live and work happily in Taiwan.”
