“No Need to Use a Card Reader; You now can Use a Mobile Phone to Apply for Government Services,” said Hsu Kung-Yung
The Interior Affairs Information Outcome Demonstration was organized by MOI in the morning of October 30th and at the venue, various systems including mobile identification were showcased. The Minister of the Interior, Mr. Hsu Kung-Yung attended the event and said along with the arrival of mobile service era, natural person certificates that have been promoted for many years can now be connected to smartphones. In the future, card readers are no longer required; the public does not need to memorize many passwords. With a smartphone, government services can be applied for better efficiency and convenience.
Remarks Delivered by Minister Hsu
According to MOI, the mobile identification showcased today responds to the mobile service era when each of us has a mobile phone. The public only needs to download the “T-FidO” app and use bio-identification such as fingerprints or facial features to complete the verification process. Then no cards or account passwords are required. With a mobile phone, the public can log on websites of governmental agencies to apply for various services. Mobile payment made for land value tax has been available in November and in the future, other application services will be continuously provided.
Additionally, at the venue, the “Land Registration Saving Book My Data” system, a new tool of property management for the public, was also introduced. Since last year, with a natural person certificates, industrial and commercial certificates, organizational certificates or governmental organization certificates, the public can search land and building status under his/her individual name to quickly access real estate information without finding land ownership certificates or application copies.
According to MOI, at the venue today, various systems including the “BIM Aided Building Verification for Fire Evacuation” for quick and safe evaluation of residential safety for the use of the interior designer or inspection agencies, the 10-second quick response “Generation 3 Automatic Verification and Custom Declaration System,” the “Land Development Information System” and the “Integrated Application Platform of Urban Planning Library Information” were showcased to present the complete and diverse convenient information service outcomes brought by MOI.
MOI emphasized that for the better and more convenient public life, the government continuously encourages innovation applications and diverse information development. Additionally, the integration of inter-departmental operating processes is promoted to achieve one-stop digital innovation of internal affairs with the provision of more convenient and friendly public services.
