In terms of the total floor area, store and office showed the greatest decreases.
In terms of architectural structures, the RC floor area totaled 6.924 million M2 as the largest ratio at 62.2%. SRC floor area came as the second at 2.339 million M2 at 21%. Compared with the second half, 2000, RC floor area came down by 3.6% while SRC floor area up by 2.3%.
By regions, the total floor area covered in the construction permits issued in the first half 2001 were in minus growth except Hsinchu City, Yunlin County and Pingtung County. Hsinchu City, in particular, grew as significantly as 107.2% due primarily to lots of the total floor area of construction permits issued for factories.
