MOI Handover Ceremony for Incoming and Outgoing Ministers

MOI Handover Ceremony for Incoming and Outgoing Ministers The new Minister of the Interior, Chen Wei-zen, is assuming his post after a handover ceremony held on March 3rd for the incoming and outgoing Ministers. The ceremony was presided over by Feng Yen, who currently serves as a Minister without Portfolio of the Executive Yuan.

Chen is very well-qualified based on his educational background and working experience. He graduated from the Department of Urban Planning at the National Cheng Kung University, received a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, USA and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Graduate Institute of Industrial Planning, CCU.

He previously served as Deputy Commissioner, Department of Urban Development, Taipei City Government; Deputy Commissioner, Department of Construction, Taiwan Provincial Government; Commissioner, Information Department and concurrently Deputy Secretary-General, Taiwan Provincial Government; Commissioner, Department of Urban Development, Taipei City Government; Commissioner, Department of Public Works, Taipei City Government; Deputy Magistrate, Taipei County Government; Administrative Deputy Minister, Ministry of Transportation and Communications; Deputy Mayor, Taipei City and Secretary-General, Executive Yuan.
