IACP President Visited CPU, Facilitating the International Police Education Exchange

International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) President, Chief Henninger, came to Taiwan, along with 3 other guests, to participate “2022 International Forum on Police Cooperation: Combating Transnational Telecommunications Fraud in the Post-Pandemic Era.”  After the seminar, Chief Henninger visited Central Police University (CPU) on September 8th, 2022, and met with CPU President Chen Che-Wen.  During the meeting, they discussed about their practical experiences in the field of law enforcement, as well as the foundation of future partnership.  They all enjoyed the conversation and discussion during the meeting.

CPU is a member of IACP, and has maintained good relationship with IACP for a long time.   Over the years, CPU has dispatched different faculty to take part in the “Annual Conference and Exposition” held by IACP.  This year, the dean of College of Justice Administration, Professor Tsai Ting-Jung will attend the annual conference in Dallas, USA in mid-October on behalf of CPU.   This journey will not only facilitate the exchange between CPU and police officers worldwide, but also bring back many precious experiences.

After President Chen briefly introduced CPU school system to all guests, they went to visit the World Police Museum, and watched the video of CPU introduction.  The President and Director of IACP shared their thoughts with CPU President after their visit the World Police Museum, and expressed they would continue to contribute police uniforms to World Police Museum in the future.

CPU appreciated that IACP President Henninger, and Director Hawkes contributed their police uniforms of Vail City, Colorado, as well as Ontario, Canada, making the collection of World Police Museum more abundant.  With their attendance, this visiting activity went smoothly.
