2021 CPU Online Graduation Ceremony:The Minister of the Interior Hsu Encourages Graduates to devote to public safety work.

Central Police University held the graduation ceremony for doctoral degree, master’s degree and undergraduate degree on June 11, 2021. Due to COVID-19, the ceremony was held online. The Minister of the Interior, Hsu Kuo-yung, especially recorded a video to congratulate 470 graduates and hope that all of them can apply themselves to combating the crime and maintaining the social security in the future.

Minister Hsu indicated that although the ceremony was held in different way because of the epidemic, the sincere wish has never ever changed. Hsu also took the opportunity to wish all of the hard-working and contributive police officers “Happy Police Day” before the commemoration day.

Minister Hsu said “Wherever the danger is, the police officer is there.” He also mentioned that social work such as policing, fire-fighting, coast guarding, immigration affairs and criminal correction are not only “jobs.” It considers as whole-life mission. Police officers also support related work against COVID-19 beside their routine. Some front-line officers even got infected during duties. Their dedication is respectable and they are the best role models for the graduates.

Minister Hsu said law enforcement officers shoulder heavy duty for a better social life and a better living environment. Thank their families for giving support and backup, so they could devote themselves to the work without worries.
