Article 6 of The Operation Rules Governing Visiting, Residence and Permanent Residence of Aliens.
II.Application Authorities:
1.Foreign Affairs Division of Taipei/Kaohsiung Municipal Police Department; Foreign Affairs Division of County/City Police Bureau, Taiwan Province; Administration Division of Kinmen/Lienchiang County Police Bureau, Fukien Province.
2. Foreign Affairs Division of the Aviation Police Bureau or the Harbor Police Bureau.
III.Required Documents:
1.An application form.
2.Other forms of identification.
3.Two 2-inch photographs.
IV.Processing Time:
Application will be processed while-you-wait.
V.Notes for Application:
1.Application must be filed in person.
2.Parent/guardian may file application on behalf of a minor.
3.Aliens who have lost passports may file application to the Foreign Affairs Division of the nearest local police bureau or Aviation Police Bureau.
4.After reporting the loss of the passport, the aliens should, by the report records, apply for a new passport or a travel document to his country’s missions or offices in the ROC. After getting new IDs, the aliens must apply for an exit permit to the local police bureau before leaving the ROC.
5.Aliens with ARC can only apply for an exit permit to the residing local police bureau.
