The 2008 Taroko International Marathon will be held on November 1 this year. Entries will be accepted from now until September 26. The number of participants is limited to 10,000. People interested in taking part should apply to the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association. There are three runs: a full marathon, a half-marathon and a fun run. Related information is as follows:

4. Run routes
* Marathon (42 kilometers): Central Cross-Island Highway Arch Entrance> Asia Cement Factory Flame Tree (turnaround point) > Central Cross-Island Highway Arch Entrance>Tiansiang (turnaround point) > Taroko National park HQ.
* Half Marathon (21 kilometers): Central Cross-island Highway Arch Entrance> Asia Cement Factory Flame Tree (turnaround point)> Central Cross-island Highway Arch Entrance>Sipan (turnaround point)> Taroko National park HQ. 3 hour time limit.
*Fun Run Group (5 kilometers): North Jinwen Bridge> Eternal Spring Shrine>Changchun Bridge>Jinmen Bridge. 1 hour time limit.
5. Entry fee: marathon-NT$900 (including chip rental fee of NT$100 ), half-marathon- NT$700 (including chip rental fee of NT$100) and fun run-NT$300.
