National Police Agency, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) introduce police drone at 2017 Secutech Taipei
The National Police Agency (NPA) and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) jointly presented the police drones at the 2017 Secutech Taipei, an expo of security technology innovations held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, April 12-14, 2017.

As the highlight of smart policing, the NPA was invited by the a&s magazine to be a member of the exhibition's advisory panel.

On the first day of the exhibition, law enforcement experts and specialists shared their knowledge and practical experience at the "Smart Policing and IoT (Internet of Things) Application in Security and Crime Prevention Seminar", with Su Ching-wei, director of NPA's Information Management Office, giving a keynote speech on "New Development and Achievements in Smart Policing", and Kuo Wen-chuan, section head of public order division, Nantou County Police Department, speaking on science and technology applications in securing public order.

Co-Developed by the NPA and ITRI, the police drone equipped with a variety of additional equipment, including warning light, buzzer, and a three-mode camera allows police to conduct real-time monitoring and recording.

Through this exhibition, the NPA expects to achieve the goal of crime fighting through the innovative application of iCloud technology and big data utilization.
